Round 3 of the EnergySmart Rebate Program launched January 1, 2012.
Projects completed on or after January 1, 2012 are eligible for the Round 3 Rebates.
The EnergySmart rebates promote the purchase and installation of eligible high-efficiency equipment at eligible customer facilities in Boulder County. The rebates serve to:
- reduce the project cost to upgrade to high-efficiency equipment over standard efficiency options for Boulder County businesses
- offer incentives for the installation of prescriptive measures that are also typically eligible for rebates through the local utility companies that serve Boulder County businesses
REBATE FUND
$300,000 has been allocated for the Round 3 rebates. A $10,000 rebate limit will be applied to each parcel, with a $5,000 limit for lighting projects. An additional $10,000 rebate limit will be applied to renewable energy projects. Rebates will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis through December 31, 2012 or until available funds are allocated – whichever occurs first.
Any rebate funds received from Round 1 and 2 of the EnergySmart Rebate Program (November 1, 2010 through December 31, 2011) will count towards the lifetime rebate caps.
EnergySmart is funded through a combination of DOE Funded Grants (ARRA funding), the City of Boulder Climate Action Plan Tax, the Governor’s Energy Office, and the City of Longmont.
